What if transplant patient forgets to take anti rejection drugs?

Rejection may occur.: Missing a single dose of an immunosuppressant is not likely to cause any problem. But missing doses regularly will often result in rejection. Most rejections, if discovered early enough, can be reversed. But transplant graft loss can occur as a result of noncompliance with medications.

Rejection: The recipient's immune system will attack the transplanted organ and it will suffer an rejection. It may take weeks to months before the non-compliant patients start to have symptoms or signs of kidney failure.
