That depends.: As in most patients healing time is variable. Most people are out of the hospital within a week and have a 4-6 week period of recovery before they can start to resume normal activity. Heavy duty stuff like working out in a gym may take 5-6 months.

Heart valve: It would generally depend on the patients pre op status , ie why its being done , if its being done electively or emergency and how its being done: open, min invasive, robotically.
