Possible infection: Discharge from either eyelid can be caused by allergies or infections. Allergies can be treated with antihistamine eye drops, while infections may require antibiotics to treat. If the discharge is constant, or is associated with redness, blurred vision or discomfort, you should see an eye doctor to have it evaluated.
