Stroke from Lac: A laceration can cause a stroke if it significantly reduces the flow of blood to the brain. This can be direct (injuring the artery going to the brain, or knocking off a plaque inside the artery) or indirect (causing massive blood loss and severely low blood pressure). Low blood pressure by itself can cause a stroke.
