i have a black spot under both of my big toe nails. what can cause black spots under my big toe?

Trauma: Usually is caused by toe hitting end of shoe. See podiatrist to be sure.

Subungual : Hematoma or blood under the nail is a possibility. Splinter hemorrage is also possibility. Melanoma can present this way but fact yu have it on both big nails would render this possibility as less likely.
