I have a herniated disc, and it often comes with lower back pain. i do not feel shooting pain. what can i do to alleviate the pain?

Exercises: Important to maintain an appropriate body weight or bmi. Also, have a visit with an exercise therapist or physical therapist. A regular exercise regime (back exercises) can keep that back out of pain.

Stretch: There are many causes of low back pain and a herniated disc is one cause.. Usually acute back or hip pain will improve over 1-2 weeks with anti-inflammatories, gentle streching, and use of heat/ice. If your pain does not improve or gets worse you should contact your physician.
