A member asked:

Can i donate a kidney if i have heart disease?

Possibly: Active coronary artery disease would preclude living donation. Mild heart disease wouldn't excluded a deceased donor.

Maybe: The decision as to whether it is safe to donate will be made by the donor team at the transplant center. Their first concern is your safety so they will prevent you from donating if your degree of heart disease is felt to confer an unacceptably high risk to you.
