Pain in right testicle, also have a herniated disc , can they be related?

See below: I have definitely seen testicular pain in the setting of disc herniation and not always where the textbooks say it should be which is a upper lumbar herniation. When i see a patient with this symptom, I do like to make sure that they have a urology consultation to make sure there are no problems with the testicles themselves. This is something that needs to be ruled out before proceeding.
