It depends: Shoulder rehab is sometimes painful, but without knowing the details of your problem or rehab protocol, its difficult to answer this question. Some pain is expected, but if it feels like more that you can tolerate, it might be you time to discuss it with your physician to make sure that this is something to be expected and to see if something can be done to make you more comfortable.

Sometimes: At the beginning of a shoulder rehabilitation program, there can be pain. If the rehab is under the direction of a physical therapist, make sure you tell your therapist if you are feeling significant pain during an exercise.
