12-16 Weeks: All people are different and all surgeries are different. After a shoulder replacement most folks will get back to activity anywhere from as early as 8 weeks to as late as 20 weeks. It all depends on extent of injury, surgery, compliance with rehab and ability to heal. Figure on average 12-16 weeks. Ask your surgeon about the specifics for what's expected in your case.

Nearly 80% by 3-4m: Pain relief typically occurs within the first month. Functional gains may take 3-4 months. We tend to see close to 80% of the improvement within the first 3-4 months. But there is no question that improvements continue for the entire year.
