Not mistaken contrib: Pancreatitis should not be mistaken for seizures due to the clinical presentation (i.e. Abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting.) however, pancreatitis can lead to severe electrolyte imbalance which can cause a seizure. Also, Depakote and Lamictal used to treat seizures can cause pancreatitis. Also, patients on a ketogenic diet for seizures can develop high triglycerides which can cause pancreatitis.
