Bone Protein: Osteocalcin is a type of protein found in bone and teeth. Osteocalcin is secreted by cells known as osteoblasts. Osteoblasts are the type of bone cells that make bone. Some doctors are measuring osteocalcin levels to assess osteobalstic activity.
