Yes: A contact lens fit is a separate service offered by eye doctors to determine the type of contact lens that is appropriate to your eyes and vision. It typically involves some additional measurements, presciption of trial lenses and evaluation of their peformance. It is not part of a "normal eye exam" and there is usually an additional fee.

Yes: Since everyone does not wear contact lenses, evaluation of a contact lens wearer involves more information to be assessed; lens power adjustment, fit, cleanliness, corneal health , etc.
