Gingivitis: Gingivitis can cause your gums to bleed which will taste metallic because of the iron content in blood. There are also medications that can cause metallic taste as a side effect or if they build up in your system. Time to see your dentist for a checkup.

"Morning Breath": This is most often due to the decrease in salivary flow while sleeping. It's totally normal. It may be exacerbated by the use of certain medications and/or mouth breathing due to a cold and/or allergies. That's why most people brush there teeth each morning.
