A member asked:

What can cause black spaces under the patient's eyes?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Fluid: Most dark circles or spaces are caused by a shadowing effect. Either fluid (water) is collecting under the skin, there are prominent blood vessels, or mild pigment changes. This is normal for the vast majority of people. If, however, the spots are new, you should be seen by an eye doctor.
