Rare today : Reye syndrome peaked in the late 70's & has declined precipitously since the association with Aspirin was found & removed from kid treatment. It was more common among the 5-10yo's that had flu or chickenpox.I haven't seen or heard of a case in years & don't recall it ever happening to adults. Being immune to chickenpox is a plus, but flu goes around yearly.
