Sort of : It means your body is preparing for conception, implantation, pregnancy, and ultimately breast feeding. This ritual occurs every 28 days or so until an actual pregnancy occurs or you stop ovulating (menopause). If no fertilization occurs, everything is scrapped (a menses) and you start over.
