What do tender breasts a week and a half before your period mean? does it mean i'm ovulating the first day it starts to hurt?

Ov a few days before: Tender breasts come from the hormone Progesterone that is secreted after ovulation. Usually it takes a few days after ovulation to get to a high enough level to cause the pain. When you are pregnant more Progesterone is produced and the breasts continue to be sore.
