A member asked:

I, have resently stoped birth control and right before my period i get really itchy all over my body... what could be causing this?

APD: Autoimmune Progesterone dermatitis/premenstrual urticaria may well be what you have. Basically, an allergic reaction to your own hormonal changes. You should discuss either with your gyne or an immunologist what treatment options are available. Avoiding Progesterone surges may help using birth control pills or other transdermal contraceptive hormone therapy, though not guaranteed.
