Source?: Where is this infant getting salmonella from? Uncommon unless food contamination is occurring? Exposure to animals of any sort, raw eggs, raw milk?

Peds ID: Infectious disease specialist.Most cases of salmonella will spontaneously resolve, but it can take months.Also Amoxicillin may make it worse in some cases.Do not forget that reinfection is possible.Exposure from close contacts, such as day care or family must be ruled out.
