I have had 5 negative hpt. all taken after a week later for my period. could they be wrong?

May be too early to : Test. If you followed the instructions for the test, the results are likely to be correct, however, the test measures the level of HCG in urine and if you test too soon the test may be negative and the woman may still be pregnant. Hpt start turning positive 7-10 days after a missed period. You may wish to test in 4-5 days or see your doctor for a more sensitive blood test.
