See below: Could be simple flushing but could also be a sign of incr. Acetaldehyde production which is produced in incr. Amounts from ethanol by an enzyme variant of alcohol dehydrogenase (seen especially in asian people). The "alcohol flush reaction" or "asian flush syndrome" is due to the variant enzyme that is 40-100x more efficient at converting the alcohol to acetaldehyde creating red face blotches.

Alcohol intolerance: Some people, especially those of asian descent, are especially prone to "flush" reactions from alcohol. These people have a variant of the gene coding for alcohol dehydrogenase, the main enzyme which metabolizes alcohol. A metabolic by-product, acetaldehyde, can build up and cause this flushing response when you drink alcohol. "noglo" is a product sold to decrease this, but ? Effectiveness.
