None.: That is an urban legend. Nobody bleeds throughout pregnancy; many women spot or have vaginal bleeding the first half of pregnancy, but it typically resolves after 20 weeks. Persistent vaginal bleeding in pregnancy is always abnormal and could indicate cervicitis, vaginitis, placenta previa, chronic abruption and cervical cancer, or a bleeding diathesis.
