Hypoxia: Fingers turning blue may suggest lower oxygenation of blood in the periphery. Check for oxygen saturation.

Cyanosis: Swelling should not be associated with cyanosis of fingers unless lung problem causing both. Primary lung problem can precipitate right heart failure low oxygen level cause bluish discoloration swelling of extremities . Needs to seek urgent medical attention.
