Will a severe anxiety attack hurt my unborn child?

No. : The main risk of anxiety disorders to pregnancies comes from 1. Medications given to treat the anxiety, and 2. The threat of some mothers wanting to harm themselves when they have other associated psychiatric symptoms. Having anxiety alone isn't known to cause a problem with pregnancy.

Treat panic attacks: First, let us make sure that what you are experiencing are actually panic attacks and not something else. Have a medical evaluation, preferably with a neurologist. Once your condition is clarified, you can be directed for specific medical and/or psychiatric interventions appropriate to your needs.
