Pneumothorax or: Air bubbles in the urine can be caused by a number of things including urinary tract infections (especially candida) in diabetics. However, there could be a fistula (connection) between the bladder and either the colon or uterus. Get checked.

Air bubbles: Air bubbles in urine is abnormal. Infection with certain bacteria can cause " gas", ? But colo-vesical or vaginal fistula are a concern. If a catheter was placed some air may have been trapped and later escaped --usually a day or so. Be examined.
