Age for transplant: The myeloma experts used to have age cut off for age 65; now in patients who are physically super fit and have good end organ functions like heart liver kidney lungs and no infection, 70 is considered a cut off.

Depends...: It depends on the disease you are treating, the health condition of the patient, and the center performing the transplant. If you are talking about older patients, there are reduced intensity regimens (known as "mini-transplants") for certain disease that can be safely offered to more elderly patients.

Age is a number: Depends on the type of transplant and patient's condition and disease. It is harder to transplant an 80 year old. Have ppl done autos on them . Yes.
