Up to 2 weeks: Pink eye is the term used fro viral conjunctivitis. It can be contagious for up to 2 weeks and is one of the most contagious infections in the world. It will go away by itself, and there is currently no medication that can treat it. Avoiding direct physical contact with others while the eye is pink and irritated is the best way to prevent spreading the disease.
