Life changes: A transplant is something of a marriage between you and your transplant docs. In order to avoid losing the organ, frequent doctor visits and careful adjustment of medications are required. The organ is a gift of someone who can't use it themselves, and your responsibility becomes first and foremost to the organ. That said, once you get into the routine, a full new life is possible!
