Nail growth: Nail growth rate will be best with best nutrition and good health. Nothing else has been proven to speed growth. Illness and malnutrition will slow them down. It never hurts to take biotin, a vitamin, which some people feel helps support nail growth.

Time : Nails take time to grow out. Toenails grow out slower than fingernails. Average toenail growth rate is about 1.5 mm/month compared to fingernail growth rate of about 3.5 mm/month. The big toenail grows faster than other toenails & the little fingernail grows slower than other fingernails. Hope this helps. Good health and nutrition can't hurt.
