Yes.: Yes, dry socket is always a possibility when you have a tooth extracted. Bonegraft can always come out if not properly done and on top of this, if there's no clot in the socket, it's possible to get a dry socket.

Dry socket hurts!!: Dry socket feels like your head will explode. There is no dancing around it. What you have is probably normal postoperative discomfort. The risk of dry socket is low with grafting. If you have any doubts your dentist will be happy to take a quick look i'm sure.
