A member asked:

Can getting blood in your eye cause any harmful complications?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: If the blood is infected in some way, that infection might be transmitted since the eye tears drain into the throat and absorption can occur. Otherwise, there is nothing in the blood to cause harm.
