Rash: You may have a condition called tinea versicolor which is a fungal infection that develops on the skin. It can be white, tan brown or salmon-colored and is very common on the chest and back. A trip to your dermatologist will provide a diagnosis.

Unknown : There are many entities with that description. Skin disorders have to be seen by a physician and best by a dermatologist. Could be nothing serious like pitiriasis versicolor, vitiligo , postinflmatory spots, or even cancers.
