Not uncommon: Irregular bleeding are very common in women. Although, pregnancy would be the one to rule out first, other causes, which are often hard to pin down, are possible. If the bleeding is light or is no more than spotting and is not associated with any symptoms (abdominal pain, etc.) and you cannot think of any particular cause, repeat pregnancy test in 2 weeks and wait for your next period if negative.
