That's a message!: If you pour alcohol over a cut on your skin, it burns, right? No surprise that if your stomach is inflammed, then pouring alcohol into it will make it burn too. Vomiting is one mechanism your stomach tries to rid itself of a toxic substance--in this case your vodka. If you acknowledge your drinking is "heavy", it is a wonderful time to curtail consumption. Please do yourself the favor & stop.

Too much: Your body is rejecting the excessive alcohol. Doesn't matter what type of drink. Your body is telling you that you're drinking too much alcohol. I'm sure you already know this. Other complications may later include stomach and esophageal bleeding, liver damage, etc. Alcoholics have lots of trouble getting liver transplants when their livers fail. Be careful not to be one of them.
