What is the experience with provenge (sipuleucel-t)?

Immunotherapy : Provenge (sipuleucel-t) is made from your own immune cells. Your cells will be collected at a cell collection center approximately 3 days before each scheduled infusion of drug. Ther are some side effects, talk to your doctor about them.

Immune booster: Provenge (sipuleucel-t) is designed to train your body's immune system to recognize an attack your cancer cells. In a large controlled trial, Provenge (sipuleucel-t) was shown to improve overall survival by 4.1 months. There was a 22.5% improvement in survival with the use of this vaccine. It is indicated for patients with metastatic prostate cancer whose disease has progressed despite hormone therapy.
