Evaluation : Insomnia isn't typically a sign of hypothyroidism, but clearly something is going on to give you all these symptoms. Certainly you should see your doctor for an evaluation. That should help you and your doctor to figure this out. Feel better!

Constipation: I agree with my colleagues about the need for a full medical evaluation of your concerns. If you do have hypothyroidism there are helpful treatments -- but selecting the best path requires investigation. In the meantime you can try some basic things. Check any med side effects. Make sure you're drinking enough liquids, and eating enough roughage/fiber (veggies, fruits, etc). Prunes may help.
