Infection: It sounds like you have a post-op infection. Go back to the treating dentist and have it evaluated. You may require irrigation to keep the area clean or possibly antibiotics.

Healiong residue?: It sounds like some swelling products are leaking out of the area, getting mixed in with your saliva and causing the problem.
