Earaches in the cold: To stop earaches due to cold air, wear ear muffs that cover them. It is common to having aching when exposed to cold air -- one of life's blessings. Try the pain by keeping cold air out or take an analgesic like Ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Not helpful? See an ENT to get an ear exam.

Control ear wax: If getting your ears cleaned out solves the problem, then you have a problem with excessive ear wax. Talk with your doctor about a solution to keep your ear wax soft so it will come out of your ears naturally instead of building up. You may also develop an infection behind the ear wax. Men may have excessive hair in their ear canal and require frequent cleanings of their ear canals.
