A member asked:

Why do i have severe low back pain when standing or bending but none at all when sitting or laying down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Instability: It sounds like some form of instability. The spine cannot bear the normal loads of carrying your body when upright (standing) or bending (even higher loads). Sitting and recumbency lowers the stress. You should see a spinal specialist for evaluation and treatment options.
