NEED... no.: But if this is your first time you think you need reading glasses, it's always a good idea to see an optometrist before buying ones off-the-rack. If you have astigmatism, prescription reading glasses will be far better and more comfortable for you. If you're old enough to need reading glasses, you're old enough to see an eye doctor, at least once.
