Could you recommend a knee brace for acl reconstruction patients?

Talk to your surgeon: Brace use after acl reconstruction is still controversial. Both immediate post-op bracing as well as eventual functional "sports" braces have questionable effectiveness. Most studies show no improvement in knee stability, re-injury rate, or healing time or rates with use of a brace. I still use braces most of the time, however, because subjectively patients feel better with the extra support.
