Read below: Toe swelling may be due to increased salt intake or due to shoes that are too tight, or high blood pressure or some form of arthritis. If this is bothersome or painful, see your podiatrist for a more definitive diagnosis.

Many possibilities: Some causes of swelling can include systemic problems such as hypertension, and problems with the kidneys and localized issues such as arthritis, infection, lymphatic obstruction, blood clots, varicose veins, trauma (fracture, sprain, and tendonitis, tight shoes) and side effects to medication. Have it evaluated by a professional and get the appropriate treatment.
