What is the current procedural terminology for vagus nerve stimulator?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

VNS: A vagal nerve stimulator is an electrical device designed to control seizures, by stimulating the vagus nerve, which affects brainstem connections, with a resultant anti-epileptic effect. Since it has few side effects, it may be better tolerated than medications. However, needs a surgical implantation, and regular re-programming to optimize effect.
