How long do i have to wait after a tooth extraction before i can have carbonated drinks?

Not long: The carbonation will have no affect on the extraction site and there is no need to delay drinking carbonated drinks any longer than non-carbonated.

A few days: I like patients to wait a few days so that the clot has time to harden and seal the surgery site. The acidity in most carbonated drinks can interfere with that. Also, drinking from a straw can dislodge the clot. The better you treat things the first couple of days, the better you will heal later and the less chance for problems. Feel better!
