Agree with Dr. Berryman in the context of the question. Avoid sugary beverages. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

Yes and yes. As an aside, please note that the very high levels of sugars in soda, juice, sports drinks, etc. have been implicated in tooth enamel erosion, cavities, Type II Diabetes, and obesity. All things in moderation.
