My tsh is 3.5 do i need medication?

Not due to this: Tsh level. A lab test result needs to be interpreted in the complete clinical context. You do not need medication for this TSH level but that does not mean that you may not need medication for other reasons. It is best to discuss such issues with your doctor.

Possibly: Cannot tell just based on tsh, although that number is slightly suspicious. Check free t4, free T3 and reverse t3. Ft3 should be in upper range and rt3 in lower range. If your ratio is off, you may need Armour Thyroid or t3, and synthroid (thyroxine) would be the wrong med for you.
