Not common: Way too much saliva can be caused by a number of sources- allergies, mucous and extreme congestion, sinus, meds, supplements, etc. If you have not already, i would see a medical specialist, including a dentist.

Not bad.: Use it well. If it really gets in the way, there are some drugs that can reduce saliva production. Drugs should almost always be a last resort. Try upping your salt intake a little first.
