Dehydration: Sounds like gastroenteritis (stomach flu), and it can become an emergency if you don't stay hydrated. If you think the hernia is involved somehow ( pain, hard lump), then you should seek medical attention right away.

Is Hernia Reducible?: If your hernia is responsible for your symptoms, it would be due to hernia incarceration, where a loop of intestine is stuck w/in the hernia. This would be evident as a painful bulge that cannot be reduced. If that is present, you must seek out care asap; if not, you might just have gastroenteritis ("stomach flu").
