Virus?: If the doctor gave you antibiotics and you broke out in rash then then stop taking them and call your doctor because you might be allergic to the medication. If the doctor did not give you any meds, then you probably have a virus. Tylenol, (acetaminophen) bedrest and drinking plenty of fluids will help your body recover in a few days. Contact your doctor again if you run fever over 101f or feel worse.
